Tutor of Business and Management Ref:2526/147Hours:37 hours per week (1.0 fte)Salary:Up to £43,408 per annum* (please see salary guidance attached). Plus generous benefits. These include: • 57 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)• Generous Occupational Pension Scheme • Financial support towards teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) *Progression beyond point 12 of the salary scale (£40,407) is subject to Tutors obtaining QTLS. Staff with Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) via the Society for Education and Training (SET) are eligible to receive an enhanced salary of £44,875 - please see attached salary guidance for further details.About the roleThe Business curriculum area is a dynamic and growing area of the college. This role is a key role in the development and delivery of Business & Management courses in Level 2 Business and the T Level Foundation. There may also be a requirement to teach across the provision including A Level, apprenticeships, T Level Management and Marketing qualifications, and professional courses. Subject to the successful candidate’s qualification and experience there could also be the opportunity to contribute to Higher Education courses. The successful candidate will potentially take on a course leadership role within the curriculum area for Level 2 Business and the T level Foundation and will therefore undertake the related administrative, assessment and verification tasks relevant to the course(s) they lead. About the PersonThe successful candidate for this role will lead and contribute to the delivery of the Level 2 Business Course and Foundation T Level as well as a wide range of courses within the business and management subject area. As such, previous experience of teaching and/or assessing within schools, Further Education or in an adult training setting would be beneficial. The successful candidate must hold a degree in either Business, Management, or a related subject and would ideally have experience of delivering teaching and learning in a school or college environment. The successful candidate should have excellent administration and communication skills, be adaptable and pay attention to detail. Being enthusiastic about and committed to the transformative nature of Further Education is vital as is the ability to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including students of all ages and employers.
