What the role involves:
Planning and delivering engaging music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Encouraging student participation in both practical and theory-based activities
Supporting pupils in developing performance and composition skills
Preparing students for assessments and GCSE music where applicable
Organising or contributing to school performances and events
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school expectations
What you’ll need:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience teaching music in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge in both practical and theoretical music
Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities
Good classroom management and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
