Relief Cook – Care Home | Sheringham Area | £15–£17 per hour

Are you an experienced cook looking for flexible work in a rewarding environment? Our client, a well-established care home in the Sheringham area, is seeking a reliable and skilled Relief Cook to join their team on an as-needed basis.

The Role:
As a Relief Cook, you will play a key role in preparing nutritious, home-style meals for residents, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met. You’ll step in to support the kitchen team during periods of absence, holidays, or increased demand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook balanced meals in line with care home standards
• Cater for a variety of dietary needs, including soft diets and allergens
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Assist with menu planning when required
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a cook, ideally within a care home or similar setting
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene essential)
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• A flexible and reliable approach to work
• A genuine passion for cooking and supporting the wellbeing of others
