What skills and experience we're looking for
• Recent experience of teaching and having responsibility for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils with special educational needs, either within a mainstream school or in a specialist provision
• Recent experience of teaching and having responsibility for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils with special educational needs, either within a mainstream school or in a specialist provision
• Experience and knowledge of managing and assessing pupils with autistic spectrum conditions
• Excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to motivate and inspire pupils and meet individual needs.
• Experience of leading and supporting staff in the writing of support plans/annual reviews/EHCPs.
• Experience of working in partnership with parent(s)/ carer(s) and colleagues in other agencies and provisions
• Experience of monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and learning, including personalised learning programmes and using data to help facilitate this.
• Good classroom teacher / manager with a proven commitment to improving the quality of children’s learning
• A thorough working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of autistic spectrum conditions and effective strategies and approaches to support children with ASD
• Ability to promote inclusion and meet the additional needs of all pupils
• A well-developed understanding of the principles and practices associated with excellence within primary education.
• Commitment and ability to raise standards for all pupils

We are delighted to share brand new opportunities for Specialist Resourced Provision Leads in 2 of our fantastic schools:
• Holycroft Primary School in Keighley (Full time)
• New Park Primary Academy in Harrogate (0.6FTE)
NSAT is a Trust of 15 schools, primary and secondary, across West and North Yorkshire. You can find out more about our schools from our Trust website.
These roles are part of a strategic development within Northern Star Academies Trust to develop specialist provision within our mainstream schools to meet the needs of children with additional needs. The new provisions are funded by local authorities, who will also allocate places. [In Bradford local authority area these are known as "Resourced Provisions" (RPs),whilst in North Yorkshire local authority area, they are known as "Targeted Maintained Provisions"(TMPs)].
As a Trust we already operate Resourced Provisions at Denholme and Parkwood Primary Schools. In addition to the locations where we are recruiting now, in the next phase of this development we intend to develop provisions at Hookstone Chase Primary School (Harrogate), Harrogate High School and Greatwood Primary School (Skipton).
