Job Summary:

Our client GKN Aerospace (https://www.gknaerospace.com/) are looking to recruit a Semi-Skilled Aircraft Technician to be based at their site in Severn Beach (postcode is BS35 4GG) the role will involve assisting in the production of aircraft parts. This role requires a basic understanding of aircraft systems and components, as well as the ability to perform routine tasks under supervision

Rate(s):

whilst on Days rate is £16.38 is per hour PAYE

Shift Rate £20.97 per hour, Weekday Overtime £24.57 per hour, Weekends £32.76 per hour

Hours:

Role will start on Core Days (Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm) whilst on training before going onto shift

Shift Pattern is 12/7 shift (also referred to as 7 Day Fortnight Days)

Week One Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday Sunday 6am – 6pm (half hour unpaid lunch)

Week Two Wednesday and Thursday 6am – 6pm (half hour unpaid lunch)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the production of aircraft systems and components.
• Perform routine tasks such as cleaning, and painting of parts.
• Follow technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Collaborate with skilled technicians and engineers to complete tasks.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of aircraft systems and components
• Previous experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
