We have multiple vacancies across J49 and J50, and we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. As a clinical support worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our nursing team and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. The jobholder will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect compassionate care for patients in support of and supervised by a registered practitioner. The jobholder will assist in the overall implementation of care as part of the multi professional team. The jobholder is expected to deliver and maintain high standards of acute and planned care. The jobholder will be skilled in taking appropriate action(s) to achieve the planned outcome. The jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective care. Why you should join our Team Abdominal Medicine and Surgery (AMS) is the largest and most complex CSU at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT). We provide acute and elective inpatient services, diagnostic services, see large numbers of outpatients and deliver life-long care. We have 14 inpatient ward areas located in Lincoln Wing and Bexley Wing at St Jamess Hospital, endoscopy units across three sites and 7 satellite dialysis units across West Yorkshire. J49/50- Renal Inpatients wards What you will bring to the role NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support or equivalent health care related qualification The Care Certificate or in the absence of this the applicant must successfully attain the Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment. Commitment to undergo training and education as required Basic skills Maths and English Level 1 (equivalent of GCSE 1-9 (A*-G)) Significant experience of working within a healthcare setting delivering clinical and or personal care Insight into roles responsibilities of post Basic IT skills Caring and motivated Compassionate Courageous Reliable and trustworthy Interpersonal skills, confident and enthusiastic Willingness to learn and develop their role Able to fulfil Occupational Health requirements for the post (with reasonable adjustments if necessary), including clearance on blood borne viruses in compliance with Trust Policy Ability to travel in between Trust premises and patient homes for posts that involve community visits About Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust Our values are part of what make us different from other trusts, so we see this as a strength, as well as a responsibility.
