Crynodeb
The Salesians of Don Bosco have a resident community of priests and brothers in St John Bosco House and Valdocco House adjacent to Salesian College Farnborough. Some of the Salesian priests and brothers work in the College and surrounding parishes and the more elderly are resident in St John Bosco House.
We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our small team providing nutritional home cooked meals to the community on a rota basis between 8am to 7pm (7 days a week). You will be responsible for sourcing fresh, seasonal and local ingredients wherever possible, ensuring all dietary requirements are met.
You will ideally have experience of managing a budget, menu planning and allergen awareness. It will be your responsibility to coordinate purchasing, stock rotation, cleanliness, food safety standards and general kitchen management.
You must hold a valid Level 2 Award in Food Safety as a minimum, be able to work alone and on your own initiative and be trustworthy. You will be well presented, have a friendly nature and be willing to work flexibly.
Hours: Full time (negotiable)
