If you’re looking for a meaningful job where you can make a real difference every day, this could be the perfect next step. You don’t need to have worked in care before. Many of our team joined us from completely different backgrounds — retail, hospitality, customer service, parenting, or after a career break. What matters most is your kindness, reliability, and willingness to learn.

If you naturally enjoy helping others, listening, and making someone’s day a little brighter, you already have the foundations of a great Care Assistant.

What the role involves:

Being a Care Assistant is about supporting older people to live well, with dignity, comfort, and joy. You’ll get full training, ongoing support, and plenty of time to build confidence.

Your day might include:

Spending time with residents, chatting, listening, and helping them feel at home

Supporting with daily routines such as washing, dressing, or mealtimes

Helping people continue hobbies they love — or discover new ones

Noticing the small things that make someone feel valued, from how they like their tea to what helps them feel comfortable

Working as part of a warm, friendly team who support each other

You won’t be thrown in at the deep end. You’ll learn step by step, with experienced colleagues by your side.

About Brendoncare:

Brendoncare is a not‑for‑profit organisation — which means we put people first, not profit. Our homes are known for being warm, supportive places to work, and we’re committed to helping you grow your skills and confidence, whether this is your first job in care or a fresh start after time away from work.

We love seeing people grow with us — many of our senior team started exactly where you are now.

Please note: We are not offering sponsorship for this role.
