About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join a learning disability service.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be part of the care team, supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, and high-quality care at all times. You will also be involved in care planning, completing supervisions and appraisals, and supporting and coaching other support workers.
The service supports people with learning disabilities and complex needs in a calm and supportive environment.
A Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach is used across the service. This focuses on person-centred care, choice, independence, participation, and inclusion. You will support staff to apply this approach consistently, helping to understand residents’ needs and reduce distress where possible, while promoting positive outcomes and meaningful daily living.
Reporting to: Home Manager / Deputy Manager / Nurse

Skills and Attributes
• Previous experience in a senior care role
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Caring and empathetic nature
• Full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential

Education & Qualification
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
