Crynodeb

The Yorkshire & the Humber region has come together to form a Maternal Medicine Network, working with commissioners, providers, clinicians, the Yorkshire & the Humber Maternity Clinical Network, service users via the Maternity Neonatal Voices Partnerships and has the support of the Integrated Care Systems.
The Yorkshire & the Humber Maternal Medicine Network is made up of two specialist Maternal Medicine Centres (MMCs) held within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust alongside services delivered in local hospitals supporting the population of Yorkshire and Humber.

The Maternal Medicine Specialist Midwife will provide equitable and expert support for women with pre-existing or pregnancy-induced significant medical issues, to ensure sustainability of that care, and additionally provide perinatal mental health support or another onward referral as required. You will also provide support for colleagues providing these services, and form links through the Yorkshire and Humber Maternal Medicine Network.

You will have responsibility for the provision of effective and efficient service within the midwifery unit(s) in your Trust. You will provide clinical and professional management and leadership for the team. You will work alongside the Lead Clinician for their Trust, and with the Local Maternity System Maternal Medicine Clinical lead.
You are responsible for ensuring the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care programmes are maintained to a high standard. You will manage the reporting aspects of the Maternal Medicine provision within their unit and ensure cost effective use of resources.

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.

Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.

Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.

As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.

We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.

See attached Job Description and Person Specification for detailed information about the role and requirements.

We welcome applications from candidates who require Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship to work in the UK, and these will be considered alongside all other applications in line with our commitment to equality and inclusion.

Applicants can determine their potential eligibility for a Certificate of Sponsorship by reviewing the Skilled Worker Visa criteria set out by UKVI on the gov.uk website.
