Masterclass are working on behalf of a high-performing and supportive school in Bristol to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology (KS3–KS5), specialising in OCR A Level Design & Technology: Design Engineering.

The Role

We are seeking an innovative and inspirational classroom practitioner who can deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.

You will:

Teach engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3–KS5, including A Level Design Engineering
Plan and deliver high-quality, creative, and challenging learning experiences
Work collaboratively within a supportive and committed department
Inspire and motivate students to actively engage, achieve, and excel
Contribute to the development of a broad, balanced, and rigorous curriculum
Support students in developing practical, technical, and employability skills

This role offers the opportunity to shape learners at every stage of their secondary education journey, from early foundations through to A Level specialism.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will:

Be passionate about Design & Technology and Design Engineering
Be confident teaching across KS3–KS5
Inspire students to develop confidence in design, making, and problem-solving
Demonstrate how design and technology apply to real-world and everyday contexts
Be skilled in using CAD, relevant IT systems, and practical workshop tools
Bring a positive, proactive, and solution-focused “can-do” attitude
Set high expectations and promote a culture of respect for learning and others
