Brief overview of the role

Salary: Up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 20–50 hours per week, Monday to Friday (depending on role and availability)

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in Early Years Education. No qualifications or previous experience are needed, just a genuine interest in working with young children, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Our nursery is based on a beautiful working farm, offering children a unique, hands‑on learning environment where outdoor play and exploration are part of everyday life. You’ll be working as part of a friendly, supportive team who will guide and support you as you develop your skills and confidence.

Due to our rural location, you will need your own reliable transport to get to and from work each day.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a valued member of our nursery team, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive. With training and guidance, your duties will include:
- Supporting children’s learning and development through play‑based activities.
- Helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Assisting with daily routines such as mealtimes, activities, and outdoor play.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.
- Supporting staff with basic record keeping, such as attendance and accident records.
- Following nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.
Carrying out tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager or senior staff.

What We Are Looking For:
- Enthusiastic, caring, and keen to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- A team player who enjoys being involved in all aspects of nursery life.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a farm setting.
- Able to communicate well with children and adults.
- Confident with basic numeracy and literacy.

Things to Consider:
- Our nursery embraces outdoor learning as a core part of everyday practice. Children and staff spend time outside throughout the year, in a variety of weather conditions, making the most of our unique farm setting.
- The role is based in a rural location that is not served by public transport, so applicants must be able to travel to work reliably each day.
- The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and other suitability checks in line with safeguarding requirements.
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
