What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an experienced and proactive teaching assistant to work within our Year 2 class primarily with pupils who need additional support to access the curriculum and manage their social and emotional needs.
The successful candidate will:
• be patient, empathetic and resilient
• have the ability to build positive relationship and a safe, supportive learning environment
• work closely with the class teacher and existing adults within the class to support learning
• promote positive behaviour
• support pupils to develop emotional regulation and independence
• have strong communication skills
• be flexibility
• have the ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
• have a commitment to supporting the wellbeing and progress of every child.
It would be advantageous if applicants had the following:
• Previous experience of being a Teaching Assistant
• Previous experience of working with pupils with additional needs.
What the school offers its staff
Teaching Assistant – 32.5 hours (8.30 – 3.30pm)
Salary type: Temporary until 31st August (with the likelihood of continuation)
Salary details: Grade 4 (£25,185-£25,584) pro rata, term time only
