Join our expanding ultrasound service at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, supporting diagnostic imaging across hospital sites and the development of the new Peterborough Community Diagnostic Centre.
Our ultrasound team provides a high quality diagnostic service across Trust sites including Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Peterborough City Hospital and Community Diagnostic Centre services. We are looking for a Sonographer who enjoys working independently while contributing to a supportive multidisciplinary imaging team.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of ultrasound examinations including general, obstetric and gynaecological scanning and will support the continued development of ultrasound services across the Trust.
Flexible working and part time applications are welcome.
The post holder will provide a high quality ultrasound service across Trust sites and will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include:
• Performing and reporting ultrasound examinations including general, obstetric and gynaecological scans
• Contributing to the organisation and delivery of ultrasound services across Trust sites
• Maintaining high clinical and professional standards within the ultrasound department
• Participating in service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives
• Working collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
Working hours will be between 08:00 and 20:00 across a seven day service, with working patterns agreed locally.
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust provides imaging services across multiple hospital sites including Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Peterborough City Hospital, alongside Community Diagnostic Centre services.
The Trust is continuing to expand diagnostic capacity through the development of a new Community Diagnostic Centre in Peterborough, which will include MRI, CT, X-ray, DEXA and ultrasound within a modern purpose built facility.
