Plan daily vehicle routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries
Allocate loads to drivers based on availability, location, and legal driving hours
Monitor and adjust schedules in real-time to address delays or disruptions
Fleet Coordination
Liaise with drivers regarding routes, delivery schedules, and changes
Ensure optimal fleet utilisation and minimise empty running
Coordinate trailer movements and yard operations
Compliance & Regulation
Ensure all transport operations comply with requirements of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency
Monitor driver hours, tachograph records, and Working Time Directive compliance
Support adherence to operator licence obligations
Customer & Communication
Act as point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules
Provide updates on delivery progress and resolve issues promptly
Maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
Data & Performance Monitoring
Maintain accurate transport records and logs
Analyse route efficiency, fuel usage, and operational KPIs
Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
