Maternity Roster Coordinator

Join our dynamic maternity team as aMaternity Roster Coordinatorand play a key role in shaping safe, efficient, and responsive care for families. This pivotal position ensures that every shift is covered by the right people at the right time, supporting our midwives and maternity support staff to deliver exceptional care. You’ll manage and maintain accurate electronic rotas, proactively address staffing gaps, and coordinate leave and absence to keep services running smoothly. Acting as the go-to person for rota queries, you’ll provide clear communication and practical solutions, helping staff feel supported and valued. Beyond day-to-day scheduling, you’ll produce vital workforce reports that inform planning and drive service improvements. Your organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will ensure safe staffing levels and a positive experience for both patients and staff. • Produce and maintain electronic rotasfor midwives and maternity support staff on a rolling basis.
• Monitor daily staffing levelsto ensure all clinical shifts are safely covered.
• Coordinate cover for absences, annual leave, and study leave in collaboration with managers and NHSP.
• Maintain accurate recordsof leave, sickness, and absence in line with Trust policy.
• Collect and validate rota data, input into HealthRoster (or equivalent), and produce workforce reports.
• Act as the first point of contactfor rota-related queries, resolving issues promptly.
• Support induction and phased returnfor new or returning staff.
• Ensure compliancewith Trust policies, GDPR, Data Protection, and Health and Safety regulations.
• Participate in audits and service improvement initiativesrelated to rota management.
• Provide administrative supportfor workforce meetings, including agendas and minutes.
