An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Fellow to join the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at St Michael’s Hospital, part of the University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
The post-holder with have the opportunity to enhance their advanced obstetric skills. They will attend the high-risk preterm birth prevention clinic as well as fetal medicine lists.
The post-holder will also work within Maternal Medicine at St Michael’s, supported by the friendly and cohesive consultant team. This post is ideal for those wishing to gain additional experience in specialist maternal medicine outside the speciality training programme. It will include regular multidisciplinary antenatal clinics in endocrine medicine, haematology, cardiac disease and neurology, and participation in consultant led obstetric medicine ward rounds.
The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the full shift on-call rota (3rd on call), including Obstetrics and Emergency Gynaecology Cover, so the post is restricted to ST6-7/post-CCT level only.
Annual leave and study leave are covered prospectively. As a valued member of the team you will be included in the educational and training activities of the unit and encouraged to contribute to the teaching of nurses, midwives and other junior doctors.

Anticipate up to 1 day per week service provision, which may be antenatal clinic or daytime labour ward cover. Rest of the time the below timetable would apply.
