About the Role We are looking for a motivated and compassionateBand 5 Staff Nurseto join our Radiology Nursing Team. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high quality nursing care to patients undergoing a wide range ofdiagnostic and radiology procedures. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective and evidence based nursing care throughout the patient journey Support radiologists, radiographers and sonographers during interventional procedures Undertake patient assessment, preparation and post procedure monitoring Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, relatives and colleagues Recognise and escalate clinical concerns, incidents or risks appropriately Contribute to audits, service improvement and the learning environment About You Essential: Registered Nurse (Adult) with currentNMC registration Significant post qualification nursing experience Experience preparing patients and equipment for sterile or interventional procedures Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamworking skills Able to work independently and under pressure Flexible, organised and patient focused Desirable: Experience working within aRadiology or procedural environment Evidence of continued professional development Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff Additional Information Ability to wear radiation protective clothing for prolonged periods is required Commitment to infection prevention, risk management and safeguarding is essential Flexible working approach to meet service needs
