Personal Assistant required for a happy 9-year-old girl who lives in the Bodmin area.
She has complex SEN needs and is anxious in new or unfamiliar situations. She would like someone who she can build up a positive relationship with and provide her with some 1:1 support, gaining independence away from her family, eventually.
She would like someone to support her develop her sense of awareness around her own personal safety. She also requires support with her communication and social skills out in the community. There will be an element of personal care required from the right candidate.
She loves history and science, experiencing joy from the tactile elements of nature.
A personal assistant will enable her to enjoy activities in her local community with and without her family.
Good rate of pay at £14.00 per hour, with a potential increase.
6 hours per week are available, although this is very flexible.
School holiday availability will be required.
Car driver NOT required.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check, the administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
