Crynodeb
The postholder holds full accountability for charity strategy, income generation, governance, financial performance, risk management and organisational effectiveness. The role leads the development and delivery of a multi-year transformational growth strategy, with responsibility for increasing annual charitable income to £5m+ over the next 35 years, positioning Leicester Hospitals Charity as a high-performing NHS charity with regional and national credibility. Operating with a high degree of autonomy within agreed governance frameworks, the Director of Charity acts as the Trusts senior charity specialist and principal advisor to the Charitable Funds Committee and Trustees. The postholder provides visible, inclusive and compassionate leadership to a multi-disciplinary team across fundraising, finance, marketing and operations, embedding a high-performance, donor-centric and values-led culture.
