Crynodeb
The Governing Body of Cwm Primary School seeks to appoint an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis for 1 year. Initially this post is based in Early years but a willingness to work across the primary age range is required.
Safeguarding and wellbeing of our pupils underpins everything we do at Cwm Primary School.
Our ideal candidate will be a friendly, enthusiastic and resilient professional who can work effectively across the primary phase. They will have previous experience of supporting learners to ensure high quality learning takes place. They will be confident in implementing strategies at an individual learner or classroom level encouraging learners to reach their potential and share positive learning experiences through a clear understanding of the curriculum. They will work in a supportive environment under the direction of the class teacher and other key professionals. They will be a role model to learners, colleagues and external stakeholders and have a flexibility in approach to meet the demands required within this busy and rewarding environment.
The successful candidates will be expected to:
• Be passionate about making a difference to the lives of the children at Cwm.
• Contribute to the fabric of the whole school, becoming a positive and effective member of a successful, professional, diligent staff team.
• Play a part in implementing and reviewing the new curriculum.
• Support the improvement of standards for learners in all aspects of school life.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of Curriculum for Wales.
• Demonstrate effective professional, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Be sympathetic and supportive of vulnerable learners.
• Be committed to the use of the Welsh language and the bilingual agenda in Wales.
• Have a good understanding of the ALN Bill.
• Able to meet the needs of all learners.
• Show passion for their continued professional development and be a lifelong learner and role model.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
