ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.

Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I’m a 27 year old Trans man living in Rumney. I use a power chair outside of the house and struggle to get around inside. I have 4 dogs plus other pets you will need to be an animal lover. I love indie music, rock, emo et cetera. I love gaming and TV shows. I love going to craft fairs and getting out and about to try and improve my mental health. I struggle with a number of health problems, which cause complications and struggles in my daily life which is why I need help.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To help me maintain a high level of personal hygiene and to be open to the possibility of covering other staff when on holiday or off sick, when hours would be available.
PLACE OF WORK
Primarily the job will take place in my home, but may involve trips out into the community from time to time.
HOURS OF WORK
I have 4 hours a week available which would preferably be one hour every other day, but I can be flexible as to times and days.
RATE OF PAY
£14.75 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
· Assisting me with personal care and showering.
· Occasional help with continence care.
· Assisting me with leisure activities (if able to drive my mobility car) and keeping me safe when you are working
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
· Reliable, punctual and efficient.
· Common sense and initiative.
· Open-minded.
· Good sense of humour.
· Experience with seizures and associated impairments (desirable)
