An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Locum Vascular Consultant to join our team in the Vascular Service at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW).

UHCW is a busy major trauma centre serving Coventry and Warwickshire (1.2 million population) and beyond. We have a surgically led EVAR service with an active complex aortic programme (Fenestrated EVAR, TEVAR). Surgeons also perform complex ilio-femoral endovascular reconstructions such as CERAB. We have access to CYDAR fusion imaging and IVUS in theatres. We work closely with our cardiac surgeons and have monthly complex aortic MDTs. We have an active research programme and teach Warwick Medical Students as well as postgraduate doctors.

The trust has committed to the delivery of a hybrid operating theatre. The vascular unit covers the spoke hospitals of Warwick and George Eliot with all arterial work centralised to UHCW.

This post will be primarily based at the University Hospital site although travel to satellite clinics may be required and will involve 10 programmed activities (10 PA), with 1.5 SPA. Suitably experienced candidates will be able to take part in the Vascular Consultant on call rota and will contribute to the provision of the vascular service.
