We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to work at a high-profile site in Elstree. This is a full-time temporary role, ideal for someone with a strong background in building maintenance and carpentry.
Working hours:
40 hours per week (shift pattern to be confirmed)
About the role:
You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of fabric and general maintenance tasks, ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard and all works are completed safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
Responding to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Repairing floor and wall coverings
Ceiling tile repairs and replacements
General building maintenance and minor project works
Basic plumbing, lighting and filter changes (AHU’s / FCU’s)
Conducting site surveys and preparing method statements and risk assessments
Using PDA systems to log work and updates
Liaising with client representatives on-site
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Fabric Technician or similar role
Carpentry qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
Experience in a high-profile or commercial environment
Good understanding of health & safety (COSHH, working at height, risk assessments)
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
IT literate and comfortable using handheld/PDA systems
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
IOSH/NEBOSH (desirable)
This is a hands-on role on a prestigious site, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and deliver high-quality maintenance work.
