Maintenance Manager (M&E / Compliance)

Milton Keynes (Office & Site-Based)

£22.21 per hour PAYE

Full-time, temporary (6 months – potential extension)

Immediate start


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to support a public sector organisation in Milton Keynes. This is a full-time temporary role covering sickness, with the potential to extend.


Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)


Working pattern:


First 3 months fully office-based

Potential for 1 day per week working from home thereafter (based on performance)

Approx. 80% office / 20% site-based work


About the role:

You will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations and ensuring statutory compliance across a portfolio of properties, with a strong focus on M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) services.


Key responsibilities:


Managing statutory compliance contracts across multiple sites

Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance activities

Ensuring all works meet compliance and safety standards

Conducting site visits and quality checks

Liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders

Monitoring performance and driving service improvements


Requirements:


Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar role

Strong knowledge of M&E services

Experience managing statutory compliance contracts

Ability to manage contractors and site-based activities

Good organisational and communication skills

Standard DBS required
