Your new company

Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a two-form entry primary school in St Helens that is at the heart of it’s local community as they require an experienced and reliable teaching assistant to support pupils with SEN across the school on a timetabled basis.
This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a supportive school on a full-time temporary basis.


Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school you will work alongside the SENCO and play an integral role in the education of a select group of pupils with SEN. The pupils you will be supporting all have different needs including ASD, SEMH and cognitive behavioural requirements. You will independently plan and delivering bespoke interventions in required areas including speech and communication, well-being & self-esteem, and ELSA. As well as delivering tailored interventions you will implement an array of positive behaviour strategies, tailored to individual pupils’ responses and requirements.


What you need to succeed

- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- A minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years
- Experience supporting SEN (ASD and SEMH is highly advantageous)
- Be able to commit to a full-time temporary contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
