Assistant Office Manager (Estate Agency / property background Essential)
Salary: £28,000 basic | OTE: £40,000
We are seeking an Assistant Office Manager to support the smooth running of a busy estate agency office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, provides calm and consistent leadership, and is comfortable supporting both daily operations and a high‑performing sales team.
You’ll work closely with the Office Manager, playing a key role in maintaining standards, supporting colleagues, and ensuring the office operates efficiently.
The Role
Working alongside the Office Manager and wider team, your responsibilities will include:
Helping to maintain and develop strong, long‑term relationships with clients
Supporting, motivating, and guiding the sales team to meet targets and service standards
Overseeing the office in the Office Manager’s absence
Attending meetings, presentations, and occasional industry events
Identifying new business opportunities and supporting their development
Keeping systems and records up to date with clear, professional communication
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to manage workloads
Contributing to team meetings and sharing ideas to improve processes and performance
About You
You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room, but you do need confidence, organisation, and the ability to lead by example. You will ideally:
Have a proven background in estate agency or property
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Be supportive, fair, and approachable when working with a sales team
Remain calm under pressure while managing a varied workload
Take a proactive approach to problem‑solving and spotting opportunities
Care about delivering excellent service to both clients and colleagues
Be open to ongoing learning, training, and sharing knowledge
Why This Role?
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands‑on leadership role with variety and responsibility. You’ll join a collaborative environment that values clear communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with room to grow and develop your career.
