An exciting vacancy has become available for a part-time role as Senior Optometrist which involves working within the core clinics including the Low Vision clinic, Contact Lens and Paediatrics at Whipps Cross. As well as core clinics, extended role clinics within Ophthalmology such as Cataract and Medical Retina Injection clinics will be part of this role. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Optometrist to join our teams for this permanent contract.
To participate in the delivery of the optical services and ophthalmology services
To participate in some extended role clinics e.g. medical retina, injection, oculo-plastics, cataract, glaucoma and emergency eye services
To participate in core optometry clinics e.g. paeds and adult refraction, low vision and contact lens clinics
To participate in the delivery of highly specialist ophthalmic services and extended roles that meet the changing needs of the department
To participate in research and clinical audit as required by the WXUH Ophthalmology service
The post-holder will be required to work autonomously and make clinical decisions using his/her own initiative as well as liaising with the Supervising Consultant Ophthalmologist/s
