An inclusive specialist provision in Oldham is looking to welcome a Behaviour Support Worker to its dedicated team. In this role, you'll work closely with pupils who benefit from consistent routines, positive role modelling, and individualised support strategies.

This position offers a real opportunity to have a lasting impact, guiding students as they build self-confidence, develop coping strategies, and make meaningful progress both personally and academically.

SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Work closely with the class teacher to support learning activities, behaviour management, and targeted interventions
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and resilience throughout the school day
- Support the monitoring of pupil progress and maintain clear communication with staff and families

SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - Person Specification
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (education, care, or youth settings)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A sound understanding of SEMH and SEND strategies
- A relevant qualification in education, care, or support is advantageous but not essential

SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - To Be Eligible You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
