We are working with a secondary school in Newham to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive Maths department within a well-established secondary school, with a focus on delivering engaging lessons and driving strong academic outcomes in numeracy and problem-solving.
We are also keen to connect with teachers from other subject areas including English, Science, Humanities, Geography, History, MFL, PE, Computing and Creative Arts, as we are recruiting across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Assess, monitor and track student progress
- Support students in developing confidence and attainment in Maths
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
- Promote high standards of behaviour and learning
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
- Experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Commitment to high standards and student outcomes
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
