ACA or ACCA Accountant | London | Full Time or Part Time - 4 or 5 day week, Monday-Friday 9.30am-5.30pm | £55,000 - £60,000 with OTE £65,000
Our client is a leading firm of chartered accountants offering accountancy, audit, taxation and advisory services to SMEs and individuals, both in the UK and internationally. Established in 1979, the team leverages best-of-breed technology to provide financial clarity and timely guidance, supporting clients in achieving their goals. Their mission is to extend unparalleled service to clients, delivering expert information, analysis, and advisory.
As the firm continues to grow, they are seeking a high‑calibre ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant who is eager to take ownership of a portfolio and play a meaningful role in the firm’s future. This is not a static compliance role; you will work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to strategic decision‑making and develop into a trusted adviser to clients. From day one, you will be encouraged to broaden both your technical and commercial skillset, with structured development, increasing responsibility and a clearly defined route to senior management (and beyond) for those who demonstrate the capability and drive.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, including groups, from sectors including technology, healthcare, property, renewable energy and retail.
Are you the right person for the job?
• ACA or ACCA qualification with 5+ years post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice
• Exposure across all areas of accounting, including management and statutory reporting, statutory auditing, corporate and indirect tax, corporate finance, cash flow analysis and business planning
• Able to build trust naturally, communicate with clarity and empathy and form strong long‑term client relationships
• Sharp, with strong commercial acumen
• Ambition to expand skills, experience and qualifications
What will your role look like?
• Review and prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
• Lead the delivery of services to clients- translating technical matters into meaningful conversations
• Ad hoc projects such as audit assignments, management accounts, business valuations, cashflows, budgets, forecasts and due diligence
• Handle client queries, technical research and HMRC correspondence
• Contribute to practice development, including mentoring junior staff and working closely with partners to support business growth initiatives and strategic projects
What can you expect in return?
• Competitive salary and benefits package
• Performance based bonus structure
• Hybrid working is a possibility for 1-2 days
• Transparent and supportive career framework, designed to help ambitious individuals progress quickly based on performance: expect regular feedback, exposure to decision‑makers and tailored development to prepare for senior management and beyond.
In the first instance, the employer will be reviewing shortlisted candidates CV’s and have a first telephone interview, followed by a personal interview if successful.
