For questions about this job, contact: Maneet Gill Advanced Clinical Pharmacist- Medicines Advice maneet.gill@nhs.net 0113 2066073 Job Summary This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic pharmacist looking to develop their specialist clinical skills at one of the largest acute trusts within England. The medicines management and pharmacy services (MMPS) team are a highly forward thinking and well- respected department within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals. This role will allow the post holder to get a holistic view of the pharmacy service at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals, and opens up a significant opportunity for growth and development within MMPS. Why you should join our Team This is a full-time split role, with 0.5WTE spent in the Leeds Medicines Advisory Service (LMAS) and the other 0.5WTE supporting the TRACT service - abdominal medicine and surgery. The post holder would be expected to contribute to the running of the medicines advice service and will play a key role in supporting rotational staff in the medicines advice hub. There will also be opportunities to get involved in governance work and service development, both through LMAS and TRACT. As part the TRACT team, the post holder will have exposure to variety of abdominal medicine and surgical specialities, with their clinical area being in urology. They will be responsible for medicines management of the ward and provide clinical pharmacy services. They will have the opportunity to collaborate with many well-respected multidisciplinary teams and clinics. What you will bring to the role The post holder should have completed a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy (or equivalent), and independent prescribing is desirable but not essential. Previous hospital experience is desirable, but again not essential. The job largely involves team working, both within pharmacy and the wider clinical teams. The post holder will also have a lot of interaction with patients, both at ward level and within medicines advice, and therefore they will need to demonstrate effective communication and be highly adaptable.
