Summary

Chelmsford City Council runs four leisure centres across the city of Chelmsford offering a wide range of sport and leisure activities each offering a variety of sporting activities where there is something for everyone.

As part of our programme to ensure every child is given the opportunity to try a variety of new and exciting activities, we offer birthday parties and holiday activities across our leisure centres.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team at Dovedale Leisure Centre and bring their passion for ensuring the success of every child’s visit. The successful applicant will work alongside our existing hosts and coaches leading parties most weekends throughout the year as well as our school holiday sessions.

The applicant must be passionate about giving every child an amazing experience, be a confident communicator and have excellent customer care skills. Possessing a sports leadership / coaching qualification would be advantageous but this is not essential. The applicant should have the ability to adapt their delivery to suit various skills and abilities to create an environment to motivate and encourage.

This post is offered on a casual basis and the successful applicants will be required to work predominantly at weekends.

Please note should sufficient applications be received prior to the closing date, we may close the role for applications early.

Chelmsford City Council is committed to safeguarding vulnerable groups and expects all employees to share this commitment and have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services.
