Summary
Chelmsford City Council also operates a successful holiday camp at several facilities across the city during school holidays. The camps, available for 4–7 year olds and 8–12 year olds, give children the opportunity to try a variety of new and exciting activities.
We are looking for dedicated individuals to support our City Camp Leaders with delivering the camps at Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre during the school holidays. Applicants must be committed to ensuring every child has an exceptional experience, be a confident communicator and demonstrate strong customer care skills. A sports leadership or coaching qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential. The applicant should be able to adapt their delivery to suit different skills and abilities, helping to create an environment that inspires and encourages.
This post is offered on a casual basis and the successful applicants will be required to work predominantly during the school holidays, but additional sessions maybe available during school term times and weekends.
Chelmsford City Council is committed to safeguarding vulnerable groups and expects all employees to share this commitment and have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services. The Council's Safer Recruitment process contains pre-employment vetting which includes safeguarding training, obtaining references, and ensuring compliance with the Disclosure and Barring Service process.
