Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Telford, Shropshire
A well-established veterinary practice in Telford, Shropshire is seeking a Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its friendly and compassionate team on a permanent basis. Applications for full-time hours will also be considered depending on candidate availability.

About the Practice
The practice offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services and facilities, including:
Nurse clinics and dental procedures
ECG and in-house laboratory
Orthopaedic theatre
Ultrasound and X-ray
The team is supported by an experienced leadership structure, including an Operational Support Manager, Lead Vet, and Head RVN, alongside a skilled veterinary and nursing team dedicated to clinical excellence.
The Role
Hours: Minimum 32 hours per week (3 days)
Weekends: 1 in 6 at a sister 24-hour hospital
On-call: 1 week per year
Bank Holidays: 1 per year
Salary: Starting from £24,400 per year (part-time, pro rata depending on hours and experience)
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional patient and client care at all times
Support surgical procedures, including all pre- and post-operative care
Conduct nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures
Monitor patients and provide high-quality inpatient care
Manage admissions and discharges in collaboration with the veterinary team
Coordinate patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care
Dispense and check medications accurately
Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards
Support team coordination through briefings and effective communication
Candidate Requirements
RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Proven experience delivering high standards of patient and client care
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Experience supporting nurse consultations and understanding their impact on practice performance
Confident communication, coaching, and influencing skills
