We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our highly successful and over‑subscribed school.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and confident individual with strong communication skills and a good standard of education (GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths essential; A levels and a degree desirable).

This post is particularly well‑suited to those considering a future career in teaching. The role offers high‑quality, first‑hand classroom experience within a supportive and well‑established school. We have a strong track record of developing Cover Supervisors, with several colleagues progressing successfully from this role into teacher training and the achievement of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the day‑to‑day life of the school, supervising classes during teacher absence, supporting pupils to engage positively with their learning and maintaining a purposeful, calm learning environment. You will also work closely with teaching and pastoral staff, gaining valuable insight into effective classroom practice and whole‑school systems.

Applicants should have experience of working with young people (ideally within an educational setting), a genuine interest in supporting pupils to achieve their potential, and the confidence to manage groups of students effectively. In return, we offer a welcoming and professional environment, excellent support and guidance, and the opportunity to develop skills that will be invaluable for a future career in education.

What the school offers its staff

We will provide:

• exceptional culture and behaviour
• a supportive and welcoming professional environment
• a relentless focus on staff wellbeing
• structured support for ECTs and trainees, to help you settle and thrive in your new career
• Access to Health Assured
