Project & Policy Support Officer - Migration

Greater Manchester | Closing date: 28 April 2026 | Interviews: 6, 7 & 11th May

Your role:

The post holder will contribute to delivery of the goals of the GMCA migration programme, as part of the wider Homelessness and Migration team, through the provision of a high-quality project and policy support across a range of programmes in the migration, asylum and integration space.

The postholder will provide specific support to our commissioned migrant homelessness programmes, including the Restricted Eligibility Support Service and services tackling homelessness from the asylum system. They will work in collaboration with Government, local authority and community partners to contribute to the ambitious change mission of the team.

About you:

We are looking for someone with a real interest in making a difference through local and regional government and in partnership with the voluntary, faith and community sectors, who can contribute to this policy area with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude. You will work in a team to support policy and projects and use your initiative and strong organisational, planning and communications skills on a regular basis. You will need to be able to juggle and prioritise competing demands and communicate clearly. Passion and interest in our mission is important, but you do not need to be a subject expert. You will be able and willing to learn, using a range of internal systems and processes to organise and support delivery. You will be able to manage your own workload and take part in continuous professional development activities to improve your own learning.

If you are interested in the role but unsure about applying, please feel free to get in touch with Jennie Corbett.
