About the Company
Our client is a growing, quality-driven plumbing and gas engineering business delivering high-standard solutions across both commercial and residential projects.
With a strong reputation for workmanship, reliability, and client satisfaction, the business is continuing to expand — creating an opportunity for an experienced Senior Plumbing & Gas Site Supervisor to play a key role in shaping site delivery and supporting the next phase of growth.
The Role
This is not a desk-based position. You’ll be a hands-on leader, working across multiple sites, supporting engineers, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, taking responsibility for coordinating projects, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the commercial and technical success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Planning, coordinating and overseeing multiple live site operations
• Leading, mentoring and supporting engineers, apprentices and new starters
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Providing on-site technical guidance, particularly around pipework, plant systems and heating installations
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other trades
• Supporting project delivery from initial scope through to completion
• Assisting with pricing, quoting and job specification
• Ensuring all work meets quality, safety and Gas Safe compliance standards
• Troubleshooting and stepping in hands-on where required
• Supporting scheduling, resource planning and overall project organisation
• Supporting commercial planning and resource allocation
About You
You’ll be an experienced Plumbing & Gas professional who is confident leading teams, managing sites, and communicating with clients — while still being technically strong and hands-on when needed.
• Proven experience in a supervisory, lead engineer or site management role
• Strong background in plumbing and gas engineering (domestic and/or commercial)
• Excellent understanding of plant rooms, heating systems and pipework layouts
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience managing multiple engineers and coordinating workloads
• Confident communicator with strong leadership and mentoring ability
• Commercial awareness, with some exposure to pricing or quoting advantageous
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Confident hands-on engineer able to step in on site when required
Qualifications (typical / desirable):
• Gas Safe registered (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1)
• NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing & Heating
• CSCS / CITB card
• Commercial gas qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
What’s in it for you?
• Overtime opportunities / additional earning potential
• Company vehicle or allowance
• Pension and holiday package
• Ongoing training and development support (including commercial upskilling)
• Clear progression pathway into senior management
• Opportunity to play a key role in a growing, ambitious business
