EYFS Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting July 2026
This school provides a nurturing, well‑organised early years environment where children benefit from strong relationships, clear routines, and collaborative teaching. Staff work closely as a team to maintain high expectations and a calm, inclusive atmosphere, ensuring children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. Pupils respond positively to purposeful early years provision that supports communication, independence, and steady developmental progress.
Duties as EYFS Teacher:
- Teach full time as an EYFS Teacher across different phases during the placement
- Initially teach in Year 1/2 with no planning responsibilities
- Full-time from September to early December, with no planning and then from December till July 2027, it will be Thursdays and Fridays, a job share role which will include planning and be paid to scale
- Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate EYFS learning experiences
- Support early literacy, phonics, numeracy, and communication development
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff
- Maintain consistent routines and positive behaviour expectations
- Contribute to observations, assessments, and reporting when required
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of developmental needs, including SEND
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise child welfare
Ideal EYFS Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong Early Years specialism
- Proven experience teaching within EYFS settings
- Confident supporting both Nursery/Reception and Year 1/2 pupils
- Happy with a phased role involving changing responsibilities
- Comfortable planning and assessing EYFS provision when required
- Warm, nurturing, and flexible teaching approach
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- Proactive, reliable, and committed to high‑quality early years practice
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
