Working hours: 35 hours per week (Night shifts, 4 on, 4 off) Interview Date: To be confirmedAdditional Salary information: 10% night works allowancePortsmouth Homeless Family Service is based across three residential Lifehouses, accommodating a total of 45 homeless, vulnerable families (which include couples, single parents and pregnant mothers) with support needs. We also support 32 families living in Local Authority Sublet tenancies and a further 14 families living in other housing.Key Responsibilities:As Night concierge you will work with our Support Workers to empower individuals to move on and break the cycle of homelessness. You will also complete day to day activities including administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the Lifehouse. For this Concierge level role, direct experience of working with homeless people is not essential. However, you will need to demonstrate to us that you have the understanding, willingness and motivation to engage with our homeless clients.The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focused and positive outcomes.The ability to improve standards by using their own initiative towards problem solving, to benefit colleagues and clients.Good customer service and time management skills with ability to prioritise workloads.Good verbal and written communication skills.Proficient IT skills (including Microsoft packages)In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (DBS: A satisfactory Enhanced DBS of the Adult workforce and an Enhanced with Barred List check of the Child workforce, a Health Assessment and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
