Crynodeb
Skills Up provides small group sessions focused on learning and life skills for adults with additional needs. The work is very rewarding and you would be joining a friendly and supportive team.
Hours: Mon - Thu 8:45am to 3:15pm, 26 hours per week - full and part-time applications are welcome.
The Role Includes:
• Organising and delivering sessions and activities.
• Supporting clients with learning and life skills.
• Managing client needs and next steps.
• Following routines, procedures and championing the positive culture of Skills Up.
• Ensuring safeguarding, client safety and a safe environment.
• Working within a team and leading others where required.
• Completing administrative tasks.
• Liaising with carers and other professionals.
• Using a range of digital technology confidently.
• Delivering community linked learning, particularly focused on digital skills.
• Food preparation.
Requirements:
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team.
• Ability to lead client sessions from a planning and delivery perspective.
• Strong professional skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• A flexible approach to work.
• A passion for supporting others to learn and develop.
• Ability to manage complex needs and behaviour.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Safeguarding training to be completed on appointment and an Enhanced DBS check and two references required.
• Experience in care or education settings.
