We are seeking an experienced Engineering HVAC Technician (Mechanical) to work in partnership with the campus facilities team to deliver a best-in-class workplace environment for the client, ensuring consistently high standards of service delivery.
Job Description
This role is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities across HVAC and associated systems, supporting operational reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction within a commercial or corporate facilities environment.
Key Responsibilities
Work in partnership with the campus facilities team to deliver a high-quality workplace environment for the client
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with agreed schedules to maximise plant reliability, efficiency, and lifespan
Undertake reactive maintenance and fault response activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Perform fault finding, diagnosis, and repair across HVAC and associated mechanical systems
Follow and uphold on-site Quality Assurance procedures, ensuring works are completed to the required standard and accurately documented
Respond promptly to helpdesk requests and engineering call-outs, maintaining clear communication throughout
Co-ordinate and manage the initial response to client-generated requests, ensuring service levels and expectations are met
Supervise and liaise with specialist subcontractors, ensuring works are carried out safely, compliantly, and to the required quality standards
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Proven experience as an HVAC / Mechanical Engineer within a commercial or corporate FM environment
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, fault finding and diagnostics, and planned maintenance best practices
Experience working in critical or high-profile environments (desirable)
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
Experience using CAFM systems (desirable)
Full UK driving licence - required for travel to other sites
