Closing Date: Wednesday 29 April 2026

Make a real difference in the lives of children and young people across Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Assistant Homes Manager to join our residential services on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity to support one of our established homes initially at Eastgate, before taking on long‑term leadership responsibilities within another of our Children’s Homes across the county.

About the Role

As an Assistant Homes Manager, you will support the Homes Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home and will deputise in their absence. This includes taking executive decisions to ensure the home operates safely, effectively, and in line with regulatory requirements.

You will play a key role in developing staff, supporting reflective practice, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring our children receive the nurturing and stability they deserve.

The role will begin at Eastgate, a home dedicated to supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs. Once the maternity cover period ends, you will transition to another Children’s Home within Lincolnshire, allowing you to continue your professional journey within our expanding and ambitious residential service.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children with emotional and behavioural challenges and understands their needs
Is supportive, passionate about developing people, and contributes positively to team culture
Places children at the centre of every decision and interaction
Is compassionate, consistent, and able to set firm but kind boundaries
Has strong quality‑assurance and organisational skills
Has the energy, creativity, and motivation to innovate and inspire others
Has experience of multi‑agency working and partnership building
Is experienced in leading teams and promoting high standards of care
Is willing to work towards a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (if not already held)

Working hours are predominantly Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. However, flexibility is essential, and the post includes participation in the shift rota, including earlies, lates, nights, weekends, sleep‑ins, and bank holidays as required.

About Eastgate

Eastgate provides a warm, secure, and caring home for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, fostering emotional growth, social skill development, and independence. The team is dedicated, supportive, and committed to delivering the highest standards of care.

If you want a role where every day is different, and where you can play a significant role in helping young people reach their full potential, Eastgate is the ideal place to begin your journey with us.

After the initial cover period, you will transition to another home within our service offering stability, long‑term career development, and an opportunity to contribute across our residential service.

What We Offer

Along with a competitive salary, we offer an excellent benefits package, including:
Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme with significant employer contributions
A comprehensive benefits package, including discount schemes and cycle‑to‑work options
Extensive training and development opportunities, including support to achieve QCF Level 5
Generous annual leave entitlement, plus the option to purchase additional leave

You will join a service that is committed to staff retention, development, equality, and supporting you to build a fulfilling and impactful career.
