Are you highly organised, motivated, and passionate about supporting openness within the NHS? We are seeking aFreedom of Information and Claims Advisorto play a vital role in managing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and supporting the coordination of claims received by the Trust.

In this key position, you will ensure the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities under theFreedom of Information Act 2000and complies with NHS requirements relating to claims. Working collaboratively with teams across the organisation, you will help locate, review and prepare information, apply relevant exemptions, and deliver accurate, timely responses to applicants including members of the public, the media and other stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing
• Managing and coordinating FOI requests from initial receipt to final response
• Supporting the handling of claims in line with NHS and Trust procedures
• Working closely with internal departments to gather and review information
• Applying appropriate FOI exemptions and ensuring legal compliance
• Producing clear, accurate and timely responses to a wide range of applicants
• Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with integrity
