Are you an organised, detail-focused professional looking for a new challenge? New Resource Recruitment is seeking a Material Planning Controller to manage stock, support production, and ensure smooth warehouse operations.
About the Role
As Material Planning Controller, you’ll be responsible for the effective management of factory stock, including raw materials, components, and finished goods. You’ll oversee stock control, Goods In/Out operations, and ensure production has the materials it needs. This role requires operating forklifts and occasional deliveries, so a valid Counterbalance & Reach Truck forklift licence and clean driving licence are essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate stock records and improve stock management systems.
· Plan and monitor stock levels to meet production demands.
· Receive, inspect, and book in incoming goods; prepare finished products for dispatch.
· Schedule and coordinate collections with carriers, monitoring performance.
· Support reporting, compliance checks, and general factory operations.
· Operate forklifts safely and carry out occasional deliveries.
· Liaise with outworkers to ensure materials and components are available as needed.
About You
· Experienced in stock control, goods handling, or warehouse operations.
· Proficient with digital stock systems (training on CIM50 provided if needed).
· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
· Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
· Mechanically minded or DIY skills beneficial but not essential.
Requirements
· Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck forklift licence
· Clean driving licence
· Right to work in the UK
