Personal Assistant Required to Support Michelle in Larkhall
Michelle is a warm, kind and caring individual who enjoys gardening, spending time with her daughter and helping others. She has a physical disability and uses an electric power chair; she’s looking for a Personal Assistant who can support her to live life to the fullest.
Some days you’ll find yourself helping Michelle in the garden, going out for walks or doing a bit of shopping. Every day is unique and shaped around Michelle’s health and energy levels.
Your role will include:
• Supporting Michelle with washing/drying below knee level
• Washing and drying of hair
• Assisting with medication when required
• Preparing meals and healthy snacks
• Supporting participation in upper body exercise activities
• Escorting to health and community appointments
• Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
Who Michelle would love to work with:
Someone who enjoys chatting, is a good listener, caring, and able to work on their own initiative. A basic understanding of Autism is important, as an autistic person with sensory processing differences lives in the home. You’ll also need to be dog friendly — there are two pets in the household.
Hours & Location
Michelle lives in Larkhall, so it’s important you’re comfortable working in this area. This role is 8 hours per week:
• Tuesday: 11.30am – 2pm
• Thursday: 11.30am – 2pm
• Saturday: 12pm – 3pm

Rate of Pay: £14.45 per hour

What’s needed:
• Experience is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided
• Warm, friendly nature and a genuine desire to support others
• Basic Autism awareness
• Driver essential — you’ll be required to drive Michelle’s automatic car
o Must be 25+, with 3+ years driving experience and a clean licence (for insurance purposes)
If this sounds like you, Michelle would love to hear from you.
