The role of Regional Contract Director is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required. Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower them to feel in control and where applicable, support them during the forensic examination process. Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), the service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape. Mountain Healthcare are a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs in locations across the UK. For this role you will work as the Regional Contract Director and will be responsible for SARC Regions and all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC. The Regional Contract Director will effectively lead and manage as the Contract Manager for our West Midlands Contracts acting as the primary point of contact for our commissioners and our SARC's, ensuring compliance with contractual performance targets along with the operational delivery of these services and providing direction and leadership. Job Opportunity This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Primary Monday - Friday 9am-5pm but as and when business needs. Base location is closest SARC to home address (ie The Horizon SARC), but all sites within region must be visited. Travel essential so car and licence is essential Locations: West Midlands Regional SARCs Salary: £55,000 pe annum raising to £59,071.87 per annum upon probation and CQC reg manager application approved & Car allowance 4k per year PRO RATA. Max 2 home working days per week CQC manager application post probation at 6 months Other Key Responsibilities: Clinical Be accountable for ensuring that our forensic service conforms to all relevant quality standards (CQC, UKAS, Mountain etc) Be accountable for ensuring that safeguarding is embedded throughout their service Be accountable for ensuring that the service conforms to best practice for medicines management Multi Agency Working Lead on regional operational groups Engage with local safeguarding boards Governance & Quality CQC Registered Manager if required Accountable for ensuring the QMS (QM, documented processes, audit frameworks etc) are up to date and fit for purpose Accountable for ensuring the risk registers in their region, action plans (local, SI and CQC), asset register; information asset register are up to date and fit for purpose Accountable for Health and safety across their region Accountable for ensuring that PAIERs are properly actioned Accountable for ensuring that investigations of serious incidents are properly completed Accountable for ensuring that complaints are properly investigated and closed Accountable for ensuring that patient satisfaction measures are met Accountable for ensuring that all relevant audits are carried out Accountable for ensuring that Information Asset Ownership is properly managed in their regions Accountable for ensuring that the activities to support Forensic Regulator accreditation are completed Accountable for continually monitoring potential accreditations to identify those that we should sign up to in order to ensure that our patients have the best possible experience Proactively manage service user feedback to drive continuous improvement Be accountable for ensuring that serious case review; safeguarding rapid reviews for adults and children are completed to the required standard Be accountable for records management and information governance within their region For any SI, be accountable for ensuring that the NHSE escalation process is properly managed. Ensure that the service is compliant with the audit schedule and ensure that action plans are completed Be accountable for ensuring that the needs of the criminal justice system are met (eg production of statements) Ensure that requirements for reports for child protection proceedings are met Oversight of forensic regulator requirements Ensure that registered healthcare professionals under your management renew their registration as directed by their professional body. Communicating to your teams, the importance of maintaining professional registrations at all times. Maintaining a system to record relevant professional registrations, expiry and renewal dates of the staff you are responsible for. Leadership Have leadership responsibility for all the staff in the region - including performance management; MAST compliance; supervision; Rotamaster; interviewing; appraisals, sickness, signing off time sheets Accountable for staff satisfaction Direct line management of SARC Managers and other key members of the team as required Take responsibility for staff wellbeing - ensuring that it is measured Accountable for the service provided by the doctors in their areas Promoting a positive culture within their region - promoting Mountain values and behaviours Supporting research and quality improvement activities for the region Take responsibility for communicating new initiatives and comms messages on behalf of the organisation as a whole Play an active role in the senior leadership team within Mountain to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of its shareholders Accountable for ensuring rota compliance across the region Accountable for ensuring that their teams are compliant with MAST, vetting, revalidation, onboarding and offboarding and DBS Training and Personal Development Attend supervision for themselves and carry out supervision for their direct reports Take personal responsibility to keep up to date with relevant guidance (eg FFLM, NHSE) so that our service remains safe Take personal responsibility to keep up to date with CPD If clinical, do a minimum of one clinical shift per month to ensure that they remain compliant with their registration and understand how the service is delivered at the frontline To undertake Mandatory and Statutory Training in line with Mountain Healthcare policy Accountable for their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their teams Ensure that all the required activities for revalidation are successfully completed (if applicable) To undertake training in line with the objectives and PDP set at regular formal appraisals Please note, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks.
