We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our long-established family business. This role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time positions available.
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of company vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and compliant with service schedules.
Please note: You must have your own tools.
Responsibilities
Carry out minor maintenance, servicing, and preparing skip wagons, tippers, and low loaders for PMI’s and MOT’s
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Communicate effectively with management regarding vehicle issues and repair progress
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
Requirements
Proven experience as an HGV mechanic, preferably with skip wagons, tippers, and low loaders but not essential
Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
Full UK driving licence, ideally with relevant HGV endorsements
Own tools are preferred
