About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Heywood. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent sports graduate looking to gain experience in an educational setting while promoting physical activity and supporting pupils' overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of PE lessons and school sports activities
- Assist the class teacher with classroom-based learning when required
- Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to support pupils' progress
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behaviour through sport
- Help organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and physical development
Requirements:
- A degree in a sports-related subject
- A passion for working with children and promoting active lifestyles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
- Previous experience working with children (coaching, tutoring, or school-based) is desirable
