Long Term Futures is seeking a caring and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Northfield!
The role involves supporting pupils in Early Years and Key Stage One with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
You will be joining a supportive team committed to providing every child the best support possible. This role is offered on a Long-Term Basis with the potential to become permanent.
What the school is looking for:
- Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) or a relevant degree.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a school or preschool environment.
- Skills: Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, with an understanding of ASD, SLCN, SEMH or non-verbal communication.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the EYFS framework and awareness of sensory regulation and therapeutic support strategies.
